FCB - Cultivating an Inclusive Environment

Rationale

An inclusive classroom and campus climate refers to an environment where all campus members feel supported, respected, and valued regardless of identity, learning preferences, or prior education. Research demonstrates that positive diverse interactions help students, staff, instructors, and leaders develop a sense of belonging, increase productivity, and prepare for work-related expectations (Greer, 2014; Smith & Schonfeld, 2000).
