FCB - Reducing Microaggressions

Rationale

Microaggressions are defined as subtle verbal or nonverbal communications directed at individuals, intentional or not, resulting in harmful consequences to members of marginalized groups (Solorzano et al., 2000; Williams, 2020). Members of the educational community who experience microaggressions are at risk for reduced participation, diminished academic and job-related performance, and decreased persistence (Assensoh, 2020).
