Coins I’m curious, stepping into an exploration phase, and getting many hours of training in to fully understand what AI can offer us. I’m currently enrolled in a free certification called AI for Work and Life. One item that struck a chord with me was when a speaker said that as educators, we are life-long learners, so why wouldn’t we explore this concept of AI?

Coins Wendy,
Unfortunately, lifelong learning doesn’t always translate to openness to new ideas. In my experience, educators (like many professionals) tend to stick to familiar paradigms until change becomes unavoidable. I still know educators teaching how to write checks while avoiding online banking literacy altogether. Why not teach both? Is that stubbornness? Discomfort with unfamiliar systems? Something in between?
I’m not out to convert anyone into embracing AI. But I do think those of us who are receptive should keep moving forward and exploring what’s possible.
