How about experimenting and trusting students to stay open and clear to declare if they have used the AI instead of saying that AI is not allowed?
So far, I think, it is just another tool and based on my own experience, it can help a bit but it is not the teacher and not a critical thinker either…. not yet in my understanding.
I am interested to accommodate AI in teaching and assessments as well just as a tool.

I fully embrace AI and teach my students how to use it ethically. I have provided AI prompts they can use at each step of the essay writing process, along with guidance on tools like JSTOR’s interactive research assistant. Some students still use AI to generate entire essays; such instances are unavoidable. But by emphasizing transparency, I’ve found that students are more likely to produce authentic work.
