MDC has created what is referred to as the “Simple Syllabus” for their MDC Live course (online, synchronous). It’s a template, already with content. Instructors are allowed to make some adjustments and add some material. However, it needs to be approved by our chairs.

Simple Syllabus is what we also use at PBSC. It is a great tool that makes creating, managing, and sharing course syllabi super easy. It has a user-friendly interface with drag-and-drop features and clear prompts, making it simple for instructors to create and edit syllabi. The tool comes with standardized templates to keep things consistent across courses and departments, saving time and effort. It integrates smoothly with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Canvas, allowing easy import of course info without duplication or errors. Additionally, it includes accessibility features, making sure all students, including those with disabilities, can use the syllabi. We have received great feedback from our professors and students as well. Wishing MDC great luck in their journey with Simple Syllabus!

Thanks for providing all the extra information/aspects of the Simple Syllabus, Sarah. I need to visit mine and refresh on making any changes. I find that making additions and changes require special actions.
