Fortunately, MDC has made it easier to access these resources and continues offering a variety of webinars.

Definitely Judy. I just finished a webinar for Clipchamp, one of the latest video editing tools from Microsoft and enabled by my Institution, provides many interesting options.

Proctoring Software (specially Lockdown Browser/Respondus, used by my Institution). Students have figured out how go around it, earning perfect scores. It might be that I am truly exceptional instructor, LOL.

I’m realizing how the adaptability needed in teaching has positively affected my day-to-day life, the unexpected surprises. I moved my mother to an assisted living facility two weeks ago. Both of us needed to adapt, particularly her. We’re doing great!

Yes. There certainly is a thin line between issues, specially when your Institution policy on the use of AI by the student is vague. Since I’m teaching exclusively online again this semester, my “home” office looks like a bad abstract work of art. I have a a great chair, a 70s huge lamp, and 20 files folders with overflowing documents, an 80s huge stapler and calculator, and 3 headphones (?!). I own a studio apartment with not much space, but 3 miles from campus.

My classes are capped at 35 students, so my experience with large student populations is limited, but establishing that special feel of community, can also be challenging with smaller online classes.
