My students teach me new things everyday (especially technology😃). When I discuss “not to give up” they actually thank me for not giving up on them! My students have taught me to keep my guidance and organization right in line with theirs!

I give my students a puzzle to put together and I write down their comments as they are trying to piece it together. I relate their comments to their reading strategies-the student replies, “OMG that’s exactly how I see reading!”

My mother passed away 3 years ago. She ALWAYS had to have Thanksgiving at her house (she was 88 and still cooked). She cooked for 17 people and loved it.

My recipe is this: I now cook for Thanksgiving (we are now up to 20 people). I will always keep her tradition going as long as I can.

We teach our students to utilize AI in their essay writing. They can ask the following: questions concerning a topic, how does the topic relate to their specific writing assignment, what does a specific word mean. We like our students to know they cannot use it for plagiarism, but it should be used for the ‘good.’
