So I’m not sure what you mean by “new” but it really is all new to me as I haven’t been able to spend much time tooling around on in the Resource Library to date. I love the ability to filter! I am not teaching online currently so I choose in-person teaching and further filtered with Active Learning and Class Discussions. There’s really a lot of great stuff to read but I particularly liked a couple blog posts by Harry Brighouse. His post: <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var( –e-global-color-text );”>A Game-Changer in Accountability: Using Online Discussion Boards (Even in Face-to-Face Classes) was especially helpful in that I also use online discussions with Canvas in my lecture courses and am currently planning to change the structure for next year after facing widespread apathy with my new freshmen this fall. He gave me some ideas and validated that I was on the right track, based on his outcomes. Another <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var( –e-global-color-text ); background-color: var(–bb-content-background-color);”>Navigating the Need for Rigor and Engagement: How to Make Fruitful Class Discussions Happen was helpful also as I struggle with balancing in-class discussion activities with the need to efficiently present material via lecture. This is an extremely hectic time for me, as it likely is for everyone, but I’m hoping to be able to set aside some time over break after the X-mas holiday to more fully explore the Resource Library. – R
