In my live online art appreciation course, I’ve embraced diversity by intentionally showcasing a wide array of artists and art forms from various cultures, time periods, and perspectives. This approach ensures that all students can see themselves reflected in the content, fostering engagement and a sense of belonging.

This practice has deepened my understanding of the importance of inclusivity in education, especially in online environments where diversity is often greater. Moving forward, I plan to expand these efforts by incorporating more student-led discussions on how art connects to their unique experiences and by continuously seeking out underrepresented voices in the art world. This will help me grow as an educator and create an even more inclusive and enriching learning space.
