Thanks for sharing, Jorge! It was a great workshop. I also hold the ACUE cert in effective teaching practices and have implemented much of what I have learned in teaching my courses at MDC. I am a professional but not a “professional teacher” – didn’t go to “teacher school” as we say – and much of what’s presented by ACUE (and some other educator platforms) has been very helpful. I agree that the Commons has been a great way to access info. – refreshers and new ways of thinking about teaching and learning – especially with the time constraints many of us have. As you know, I am trying to get up to speed with using AI and info. about what others are doing and finding useful is always appreciated. I am also thinking about how I can change up my grading practices so that my students grades really will be a reflection of what they are learning. I’ll post about it if I’m successful with that this semester this semester. Have a great rest of break. – Rose
