Saundra McGuire, PhD
Dr. McGuire, Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success at Louisiana State University (LSU), is a distinguished educator and mentor with over 40 years of experience. Formerly an Assistant Vice Chancellor and Professor of Chemistry at LSU, she received the Clark Distinguished Teaching Award during her 11-year tenure at Cornell University. Renowned for her impactful workshops and widely acclaimed book “Teach Students How to Learn,” Dr. McGuire has received numerous awards, including the 2015 AAAS Lifetime Mentor Award and the 2007 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.
